El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies investigate shot out car windows

Residents in a Security neighborhood wake up Tuesday morning to shattered car windows.

Deputies are investigating nearly 45 reports of shot-out car windows in a neighborhood in the Widefield-Security area of El Paso County.

The first call came in just before 4:30 A.M. on Quebec St. Additional calls followed from residents on Widefield Drive, Defoe Avenue, Metropolitan Street, Caballero Avenue and other streets in the neighborhood.

Deputies say it appears one or more people shot out car windows with a B.B. gun.
