Crews respond to a house fire, explosion

An explosion and fire in the back yard of a Colorado Springs home shut down the street Saturday afternoon.

It happened at a home on Harvest Road. That’s near Austin Bluffs and Stetson Hills.

Witnesses said the damage was limited to the backyard of the home.

Nobody was home at the time the fire started but witnesses say there were pets inside the home. They are all safe and sound.
