Police search for hit-and-run suspect

Police are looking for the driver who hit a bicyclist Friday evening, then fled from the scene.

The accident happened near Reinhardt Dr. and E. Uintah St.

Police say the driver of an SUV hit a 42-year-old man riding a motorized bicycle as the man was leaving an apartment complex parking lot. The driver fled before police arrived.

The bicycle rider was taken to the hospital and suffered a head injury. He is expected to live.

The SUV was driven by an older white man. The SUV is described as an older model, boxy-style SUV, similar to a Jeep Cherokee.
