2nd arrest made in connection to bank robbery

A second arrest has been made in connection to Wednesday’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank on S. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs.

Police arrested Michael Browning, 53, Friday evening.

Browning had an active arrest warrant out for his involvement in the bank robbery. Detectives received information that Browning was possibly in the area of 1100 Old Dutch Mill Rd. Investigators found a truck that they believed belonged to Browning.

Surveillance was set up, but after several hours of no activity, detectives began a door-to-door search. They were able to get information that Browning was hiding in an apartment nearby.

A woman at the apartment admitted to detectives that Browning was hiding in the attic space. He was eventually taken into custody without a struggle.

The robbery police say Browning is involved with happened Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested the main suspect, Kevin Cohee, 53, later that afternoon.
