Wreckage of Colorado Springs-bound aircraft found in Okla.

Our ABC-affiliate in Oklahoma City, KOCO, reports that the fiery wreckage of a plane that was reported overdue on a flight to Colorado Springs was found on Wednesday afternoon in Oklahoma.

The single-engine Mooney M20 Turbo took off from El Reno, Okla., around 12:30 p.m., April 1, and failed to arrive at its intended destination.

The pilot was planning to make a stop in La Junta, Colo., before reaching Colorado Springs, authorities said.

The wreckage was found about four miles northwest of Guymon, Okla. The plane was mostly consumed by fire, KOCO reports.
