1 dead, 1 in custody after disturbance at Springs apartment

Colorado Springs police are investigating after a person was found dead at the Tanager Meadows Apartment Homes near Fountain Boulevard and Murray Boulevard.

Police told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that they responded to a report of a disturbance on Wednesday afternoon and found the victim with apparent trauma to the body. Officers have taken one person into custody and say there is no threat to the public.

The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.

CSPD said an autopsy will be conducted Thursday to determine the manner of death.
