Police officer involved in traffic crash

A police cruiser was involved in a traffic accident Friday night.

An officer was driving with the emergency lights and sirens on shortly after 6:00 p.m. to assist another officer. All cars yielded to the cruiser, except one, as the officer approached the intersection of Platte Ave. and Circle Dr.

The driver who did not yield hit the police cruiser, causing it to spin.

No one was injured in the crash.

The driver was cited for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.
