2 Fort Carson soldiers suspected of rape, 1 found dead

Two Fort Carson soldiers are being investigated for an alleged rape said to have happened over the weekend, officials announced in a statement Wednesday.

Fort Carson officials said that one of the suspects of the rape was found dead in his on-post quarters. Authorities did not say exactly when his body was found.

The suspected rape and the cause of death are under investigation by law enforcement officials.

No charges have been filed and the suspects’ names have not been released.
