Police make arrest in a burglary

Colorado Springs police made an arrest in a burglary.

Police said officers responded to a call about a burglary in process shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday. The victim was able to give police a detailed description of the car used in the burglary.

A short time later, the officer responded to an unrelated call at the Cedar Creek Apartments. While at the apartments, the officer noticed the vehicle from the earlier burglary pull into the parking lot.

The officer went to talk to the woman in the car and observed property taken from the burglary in the car.

Police arrested Michelle Gutierrez in connection with this burglary. Gutierrez was one of the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office “Most Wanted” criminals.
