Police continue search for Waldo Canyon Fire starter

The Waldo Canyon Fire Task Force is still looking for the person(s) responsible for starting the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Investigators determined that the fire was caused by human means, but it remains unknown if it was intentionally or accidentally set.

Reward money, up to $100,000, is still available for information leading to the identification and arrest (if applicable) of the person(s) responsible for causing the fire.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call 719-385-2222. This is the only number to call to receive a reward. You will be required to leave your name and contact number.

Additionally, there is separate money available for suspect information that leads to the identification and arrest of persons involved in the home and vehicle burglaries in the evacuation area of the Waldo Canyon fire.

An investigator will follow-up with each person who leaves a message.

If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
