House fire on Whileaway Circle

A house fire burned through a home in the 3000 block of Whileaway Circle in Colorado Springs Thursday evening.

A viewer photo showed huge flames engulfing a large portion of the house.

Witnesses reported hearing explosions in the neighborhood around the time the fire started.

“I heard shouting, so I ran out and I see my neighbor’s house on fire and I thought ‘Oh my God!'” said Becky Long.

No was hurt in the fire but the American Red Cross is helping the family because the home is unlivable for the time being.

It’s unknown how the fire started.
