Suspected robber behind bars

Pueblo Police have arrested a suspect in the recent strings of robberies there.

Our Partners at the Pueblo Chieftain are reporting that Brandon Lee Ballagut-Wertsbaugh confessed to the January 3rd Robbery of the Subway on Troy Ave.

Police already had identified Alfred Montano as a “person of interest” in the numberous robberies since late December.

Montano was arrested Saturday in Fowler on a warrant for theft by receiving for driving a car that was stolen from an elderly couple in a December home invasion.

So far this year there have been more that 16 robberies in Pueblo.
