Man killed by car in Security identified

The man killed by a moving car in Security Friday has been identified.

59-year-old Tony Brito was from Colorado Springs. He was walking near the intersection of Bradley Road and Cantrell Drive Friday night around 6:30 p.m.

State troopers said Brito was crossing Bradley Road and was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet. Brito was transported to the hospital and later died from injuries in the crash, officials said.

Investigators said the driver of the Chevrolet was wearing her seat belt and was not hurt. Officials are still investigating.

At this point, the driver is not facing any charges.
