Home invasion suspect kept out by homeowner, front door

A Colorado Springs man slams the front door on what appeared to be an attempted home invasion.

Police said the would-be robber came to a house in the 800 block of Scarborough Drive near Powers Boulevard and Research Parkway Sunday night.

When the homeowner answered the door and saw a gun he shut the door in the man’s face and called for help.

The man who was denied entry into the home is possibly White or Hispanic, about 5’9″ to 5’10”, with short hair and a beard. The home owner said he looked young between 20 to 30 years old.
