Colo. Springs Car Thief Arrested After Short Chase

A car thief was arrested in Colorado Springs after running from officers Saturday night.

It all started near the intersection of Nevada Ave. and Arvada St. Police said they pulled up behind a stalled car to help.

The driver of the car ran off. Police said they called for backup and officers used a K-9 Unit to search the area.

Officers were able to track down Daniel Garcia and arrest him.

According to police, the car that Garcia was in was stolen. Officers said they also recovered a second stolen car.
