Car theft botched, suspects still on the run

A car theft leads to a short chase, then a crash. Colorado Springs Police were called to the Quality Inn off Garden of the Gods around 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Officers tried to pull the stolenJeep over but the suspects took off.

After a short pursuit, police backed off. But about 10 minutes later the Jeep crashed on North Wadsworth Circle.

The suspectsran from the crash and police were unable to track them down.

The stolen Jeep was returned tothe owner.
