Mexican man wanted for homicide arrested

A man wanted on an international warrant out of Mexico for homicide was arrested in Colorado Springs early Saturday morning.

Police said they were working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the 2400 block of South Academy Boulevard at around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Officers said there was a vehicle of interest in the parking lot of the Casa Grande Bar and officers followed that car until they stopped it for a traffic violation.

Police said they found out that the driver, Jesus Hernandez Huerta was wanted in Mexico for homicide.

Hernandez Huerta was trasferred to the custody of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
