Daner turns self in to police

An AWOL Army ranger who threatened to kill his ex-fiance has turned himself in.

Colorado Springs police say 33-year-old Joshua Johnston Daner turned himself in to Ft. Lewis police around 7:30 Monday night.

Ft. Carson military police were notified to inform the victim in this case.

Daner was stationed at Ft. Lewis.

He was angry after his ex-fiance ended their relationship with a text.

Police say Daner told his supervisors he was going to kill her, her new boyfriend, and himself.

Daner is facing charges for domestic violence, harassment, and for being AWOL.
