Detectives respond to disturbance in Ellicott

El Paso County detectives responded to a domestic disturbance in Ellicott.

It happened at a home in the 23,000 block of Wheat Street at around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Lt. Jeff Kramer with the El Paso County Sheriff’s office said deputies responded after dispatchers received a hang-up 911 call.

He said a man and a woman in their late 30s suffered injuries bad enough to be flown to the hospital via helicopter.

Their conditions are unknown.

Deputies said they are not looking for anybody else who may have been involved in the disturbance.

Neighbors living nearby said there have been rumors of domestic disputes happening frequently at the home.

They said they often see children at the home, but deputies said no children were at home at the time of the fight.
