Colo. Springs police bust car theft ring

Colorado Springs police said they think they arrested the leader of a car theft ring in the Pikes Peak region.

Officers said they spotted a stolen Ford Fusion in the 400 block of Brookside St. shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday.

The driver, Davante Dixon, 18, took off on foot, but police arrested him a short time later.

Police said as they were recovering the stolen car, they spotted another stolen car parked in front of it.

Two other juveniles were arrested. Police said they think one of the teenagers is the ring leader for motor vehicle thefts in the Colorado Springs area.
