Assault Suspect Flees To Mom’s House, Causes Standoff

A man surrenders to police after a one-hour SWAT standoff on Weber Street near Las Vegas Street on Friday night.

Police said they were looking for Kazimierez Warszawski on suspicion of domestic violence when they found out he was at his mother’s house.

Police said Warszawski’s mom wasn’t there initially, but she came home after Warszawski called her. She helped police try to get her son out of the home, pleading with him over a loud speaker that she didn’t want officers to break down her door and damage her house.

Warszawski eventually surrendered and police said he’s facing charges including child abuse and domestic violence and harassment.
