Dangerous Dog On The Loose

A man faces charges and a dangerous dog is on the loose after police say it bit two young children.

Colorado Springs police officers say they answered a vicious animal and shots fired call at 6:30 p.m. Friday. A pit bull named Capone was loose near a townhome playground in the 4200 block of Charleston Drive. It bit two children before someone distracted it, then used a bicycle to protect himself from the dog. The dog went after another person who was carrying a handgun. The citizen shot at it once, scaring it away.

The dog’s owner faces two counts of unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog. Rodney Ingram, 27, told police he does not know where his dog is. The dog has not been located. If you know where Capone is call the Humane Society.
