Fort Carson Soldiers Welcomed Home

200 Fort Carson Soldiers were welcomed back into the arms of their families Saturday morning.

A welcome home ceremony was held just after 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division have been deployed in Afghanistan for nearly a year.

They’re mission was to help Afghan National Security Forces defend their people.

The “Warhorse” brigade partnered with Afghan police to expand security and build governmental capability.

A second homecoming is scheduled for 9 p.m. Sunday.
