One Suspect Arrested, One At Large

Colorado Springs police say an alert citizen helped stop a criminal.

Officers say it happened on Lange Drive near Union and Dublin around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Two men with dark hoodies, gloves, and backpacks, were seen using a flashlight to peer into cars.

Officers got there shortly after the call, and while searching, found someone matching the description.

Police say an 18-year-old male gave “a cockamamie story that couldn’t be corroborated and was quickly discounted by investigating officers.”

Police say Cody Ruff was found to have proceeds from some of the neighbors vehicles, to include prescription narcotics.

He was made to post bond on several Felony charges, two Misdemeanor drug charges, and an unrelated traffic warrant.

The investigation is continuing into the second suspect, who remains at large.
