Police Investigate Shooting Near Fountain & Chelton

Colorado Springs police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night.

It happened around 8:30 at the 7-11 at Fountain and Chelton, according to police.

A fight broke out and more than a 20 shots were fired, police said.

Two people showed up at Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds.

One person suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, the other to the chin. Both victims are expected to recover.

Police said several buildings, including the 7-11 at that intersection, have bullet holes.

So far, police have made one arrest.

Police arrested Bryan Anthony Batts Sunday morning.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrest are possible.
