Fund Started For Burglary Victim’s Heart Transplant

A fund has been established at Ent Credit Union in Colorado Springs to help Jerry Lee Peterson pay his medical costs.

Last Friday, KRDO NewsChannel 13 told you how Peterson, 61, has congestive heart failure and is on the waiting list for a new heart. However, someone recently broke into his home and stole thousands of dollars he and his wife had been saving for his medical expenses.

The Petersons said they’d been saving for at least three years. Police are investigating the break-in that happened a week ago on LaSalle Street.

If you’d like to help, you can donate to the fund, under the name “Jerry Peterson Transplant Fundraiser.”
