Public Comment Period Extended For Cotter Mill Documents
The public comment period for three Cotter Canon City mill issues has been extended to March 2nd.
Currently the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has three issues out for public comment. The comment period previously would have ended on Feb. 17th.
The current documents under review include: 1. New Evaporation Pond Conceptual Design 2. Onsite Soil Excavation and Groundwater Characterization Process Plan 3. Soil Remediation Criteria Selection The documents are still on the website at: www.cdphe.state.co.us
This time period overlaps with an upcoming comment period for an additional document, Groundwater Remediation Water Management Analysis. This document is related to 1. New Evaporation Pond Conceptual Design. The Groundwater Remediation Water Management Analysis document will be available for comment beginning February 17.
