Baby Boy First Born In 2012 In Colorado Springs

Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs welcomed a new life on New Year’s Day. The hospital had the first baby born in the city in 2012.

Sebastian Aguilera weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 20 and a-half inches long.

This is Lucia Aguilera’s sixth child and fifth boy.

She was expecting him on January 9th, but Saturday night she found out he would be coming a little earlier than planned. “They told me I am ready and they said if you want, we can start now or we can wait to see if he can be the first baby of the year,” Aguilera said.

She opted to wait and at 12:06 a.m. he was the first baby born in Colorado Springs.
