Attempted Robbery At Subway

Colorado Springs police are searching for two men who attempted to rob a Subway restaurant Saturday night.

Police said the men tried to enter the back of the store on Woodmen Road and Powers Boulevard at closing time.

One man swung a what looked like a bat at an employee, grazing his visor.

The clerk went back into the store and called 911, police said.

The two men fled without anything, officials said. Investigators said a K-9 unit was called in to track the men, but no one was found.

Police said one suspect was a white or hispanic man, who was wearing a ski mask and dark clothing.

There is no description for the other suspect.
