Police Arrest 1 Person After Chase

Colorado Springs police arrested one person after a traffic stop turns into a short chase.

According to police, a car led police on a pursuit after police tried to pull the car over for driving without lights.

The car was approached on West Pikes Peak Avenue, police said.

The pursuit ended when the car crashed near 23rd Street.

Police say the car hit a curb and nearly hit a bicyclist. The person on the bike was able to jump out of the way but the bike got pinned between the car and a wall, police said.

The driver, now identified at Sterling Link, and two other passengers ran from the car, police said.

Police soon caught up with Link and arrested him.
