Man Assaults Wife In Front of Kids

A Colorado Springs man was arrested Saturday night after police say he assaulted and strangled his wife.

Four children were home and witnessed the crime.

Police say it happened shortly before 8 p.m. at a home on Colony Hills Road.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for what police call, non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested James Anthony Murray. He is facing attempted second degree murder, felony menacing, child abuse and third degree assault charges.

He is being held at the Criminal Justice Center.
