Mold Making Caon City Family Sick

A 4-year-old in Caon City is slowly getting sicker. The young boy is having trouble breathing and his mom says it’s due to mold in the home.

Maria Garcia’s son has cerebral palsy and is now suffering from respiratory problems.

?He’s never been this sick. We’ve never been this sick,? said Garcia.

Garcia and her son got back from the another hospital visit on Wednesday. She said he started getting sick about a year ago. Then, in April, they discovered black mold in their home.

?His health is deteriorating and the only thing I can think of is my house,? said Garcia

She said she?s paid thousands of dollars to fix the issue, but now, believes the mold has spread. She blames the woman who sold her the trailer. She blames the woman who sold her the trailer.

?She says there’s nothing she can do; I bought the trailer, as is,? said Garcia.

Target 13 got ahold of the seller, Dawn Ruehlen, on the phone.

?I don’t feel I’m responsible, because I don’t own the mobile home. She bought the mobile,? said Ruehlen.

Ruehlen proved to Target 13 with this documentation that she is indeed not responsible. The contract states, the mobile home was bought in its present condition.

?Her brother lived there for five years, and I asked her if there’s anything that needs fixing on it. He said ?No, everything is fine.? She said the same thing,” said Ruehlen.

Garcia argues an inspection should have been done anyway. She said she just wants her angel to be healthy again.
