Police Catch Walgreen?s Robbery Suspects

Police told KRDO Newschannel 13 they received information that led them to the Le Salle Garden Apartments on the 2300 block of La Salle St in search of two suspects that are believed to be involved with the Nov. 1 robbery of the Walgreens on North Circle Drive.

?The idea was to isolate and contain this particular resident, and it all went according to plan,? said Sgt. Dale Fox, Colorado Springs Police Department.

Neighbors said they were instructed to stay inside, but said it was a startling morning.

?I was a little nervous, this is the first time the SWAT has actually been here. We are kind of used to police officers showing up but not anything of this caliber,? said John Greenfield, who lives in the neighborhood.

Police said they were able to detain the two individuals, but it took some time.

?It took a little bit to get them to come out; a little coaxing. There was no resistance. There was no difficulties really other than convincing them that they need to come out and be cooperative, which they eventually did,? said Fox.

Fox said police were not able to arrest the two, because they only had a search warrant. Fox said he was confident that after the search and questioning was complete, there would be charges.
