Pueblo Teacher Accused Of Having Sex With Students

Susan Diane Christie, 43, was arrested on Wednesday and is accused of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

Christie was an employee at the G.O.A.L. Academy, located in Pueblo.

According to the affidavit, G.O.A.L. Academy is an ?online schools generally for high school students who have trouble in a formal school setting.?

According to the affidavit, Christie would send suggestive and explicit text messages from her school-issued cellphone and would also use her school-issued computer to engage in sexual conversations with students via Skype.

One of the witnesses interviewed by police said that Christie?s ?husband was at work and said her children were either asleep or not at home? when the sexual acts were taking place.

A now 21-year-old male told police that he and Christie would have sex when he was still in high school. The male told police Christie would also host underage drinking parties at her Pueblo home

According to the affidavit, another student told police Christie was a ?creepy pedophile type? because ?she talks about guys a lot, as well as, sex.?

Court documents state Christie was placed on administrative leave and was told not to contact students and staff of the academy.

Christie was released on $50,000 bond. She is set to appear in court in November.
