Springs Police Searching For Embezzler

Colorado Springs Police are actively searching for a woman wanted for embezzling funds from Colorado Welding Supply.

Officers say Christina Bratcher, 43, embezzled $460,000 from her employees while she was working as the book keeper. The owners of the business found out about the theft as they were filing for bankruptcy. Officers say Bratcher wrote large checks from the business account to herself, then she’d cover it up by falsifying entries into the business check ledgers saying the money was going to venders. The owners of Colorado Welding Supply ended up having to sell their business.

Bratcher is described as a white woman, 5’6″ 150 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. She faces felony theft charges.
