Springs Gas Prices Decline

Gas prices have fallen in Colorado Springs over the past week.

Average retail gasoline prices have fallen from 4.3 cents per gallon to an average of $3.37 on Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week. The national average of gas prices was $3.42 on Sunday.

Even with the decline, prices are 68.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago. The national average is 61.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst, Patrick DeHaan says we will continue to have a “roller coaster ride at the gas pump.” Fluctuations in gas prices are expected until Spring 2012.
