Fugitive Captured By Lamar Police

Lamar Police officers arrested a man who escaped from the Colorado Department of Corrections on Friday.

20-year-old Jose Manuel Carrillo, Jr. of Lamar escaped from the facility with the help of 20-year-old Lorena Estela Garcia, also of Lamar.

Carrillo was taken into custody and transported to the Prowers County Jail where he will be returned to the custody of DOC.

Garcia was also arrested for aiding Carrillo’s escape. She was transported to Prowers County Jail where she is being held on a $10,000 any type bond.
