Pueblo Teen Killed In Crash

A Pueblo teen has died after losing control of his Jeep Cherokee and running off the road, Colorado State Patrol officials said.

Investigators said Carlos Torres, 18, was driving west on Colorado 78 about 10 miles west of Pueblo, when the crash occured just before 5 a.m Saturday.

State troopers said Torres lost control on a curve, and the Jeep went through a barbed wire fence, and collided with some trees.

Torres was ejected from the Jeep and died at the scene, investigators said.

Officials said they were still working to figure out if alcohol or speed played a role in the crash.
