East Platte Ave. Closure Saturday

A section of Platte Avenue will be closed for the next three Saturdays.

East Platte Avenue, roughly between Union Blvd. and Hancock Ave., will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. midnight as construction crews work on improving the safety of the area.

The area will be closed for three Saturdays, September 10, 17, and 24. Detours will be in place and motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible.

Crews are working on replacing storm drains that cross Platte Ave. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2011.
