Pueblo Man Stabbed During Meteor Shower

Pueblo police said a man watching the Perseid meteor shower was stabbed early Saturday morning. It happened in the 2600 block of East 14th Street.

Christopher Glueck, 40, was taken to Parkview Medical Center.

Pueblo police officers said Glueck was in his front yard watching the meteor shower when he heard loud noise and bottles breaking.

Glueck told police that he found two people causing the noise and asked them to quiet down.

Police said Glueck was assaulted by two men. One of them has been identified as Ernestine Lopez, 31, who officers think stabbed Glueck.

Officers arrested Lopez in the 2700 block of East 11th Street. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and a protection order violation for alcohol consumption.

Lopez is being held in the Pueblo County Jail without bail pending a court appearance.

Pueblo police said the other man who was involved in the assault has not yet been arrested.
