Walmart Attempted Burglary Lands 2 People in Jail
Two people are in jail after police in Pueblo said they tried to walk out of Walmart with three television sets without paying. Police said a Walmart employee saw 25-year-old Robert Sparling and 20 year-old Christin Hotchkiss put three 32-inch TVs, worth a total of more than $1,000, in their shopping cart at the Walmart on Northern Avenue in Pueblo on Monday. The employee said the couple then walked toward the grocery department of the store and attempted to exit the store without paying for the televisions. An employee stopped Sparling and Hotchkiss and detained them until police arrived. They are both in Pueblo County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
