Suspect In Shotgun Shooting Arrested In Denver For Attempted Murder
COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police have caught a woman wanted for attempted First Degree Murder Tuesday afternoon. Police
25-Year-old Margo Eck was found at a Denver hotel during a seperate investigation. Police were able to identify Eck and placed her under arrest for Attempted First Degree Murder.
Eck was wanted for shooting 22-year-old Dillion Mohrbutter in the face with a shotgun 5:30 a.m. March 23rd, Police report.The shooting stemmed from a dispute between the Dillon and the Eck inside a home on the 1500 block ofDiana Lane near Palmer Park and Circle, according to a release from CSPD.
The 22-year-old is now out of the hospital and recovering froma wound to the face.Colorado Springs police Sgt. Tim Stankey says officers were told that a man had tried to steal a car, but was shot by one of the intended victims.
Initial reports from police indicate that two people were involved in some sort of argument that got out of control.Police are talking with multiple witnesses now to find out what happened.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes/Homicide Unit will take Eck intothe El Paso County Jail later this evening.
