COLORADO SPRINGS – Weather was not a factor for the traffic deaths of three people Thursday in Costilla County, just north of Blanca.
A Dodge Ram pickup didn’t yield to a Ford pickup which had the right of way.
The driver of the Ford, 63 year-old Richard Karp, and a passenger in the Dodge, 81 year-old Rosa Thompson, died at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge, 88 year-old Arthur Thompson (Mrs. Thompson’s husband),was taken to a hospital in Alamosa, where he was pronounced dead.
All of the victims were from Blanca.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
