KRDO’S Tuesday Afternoon Pet of the Week

Baxter is your KRDO Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region! He is a one-year-old white & brown Pit Bull mix who came into HSPPR as a stray.

· Baxter is a happy, playful boy with a big smile that’s just as contagious as his enthusiasm for life.

· He may be a little shy at first, but with patience and encouragement, he quickly begins to show his fun-loving personality.

· Nothing makes Baxter happier than a tennis ball, a game of fetch, and the chance to zoom around the yard at full speed.

· He’s also a big fan of treats, making positive reinforcement a great way to help him build confidence and learn new things.

· When Baxter gets extra excited, he can sometimes become a playful ankle nibbler, so he’ll do best with a family that can help him channel his excitement in positive ways.

· Since he came to HSPPR as a stray, his history with kids, cats, and other dogs is unknown, so slow introductions and thoughtful management will help set him up for success.

· With his playful spirit, goofy grin, and love of adventure, Baxter is ready to bring plenty of joy and laughter to his future family.
