DENVER (KRDO) -- Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is giving an update on the state's response to COVID-19 as cases continue to rise across the state.

As of Wednesday evening, the state reported a total of 88,849 cases since testing began; 2,194 people have died due to the virus.
