Warmer for Sunday

Nick's 5 pm Weather

Plenty of sunshine for Sunday and milder temperatures across the Southeastern plains, but another winter storm is bearing down in the high country.

And while the Southeastern Plains enjoy relatively mild temperatures for February, WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES will continue for much of the Central Mountains until 8 a.m. Monday Morning.

Expect winter driving conditions if you're headed west on I 70 for some skiing or snowboarding this holiday weekend. Up to 12 inches is expected in most ski areas. The snow will taper off by mid morning Monday, but then the Colorado Springs area could get about 1 to 2 inches by nightfall.

The rest of the week will be a bit cool with high temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
