Customers flock to “Mcdonald’s Of The Future”, serves unlimited fries

You asked, they listened. The McDonald’s of the future is here. The world’s largest restaurant chain is unveiling what it sees as its future, and customers are loving it.

A location in Missouri opened their doors on Thursday, with services that include self-serve kiosks for ordering meals and table service, and the highly sought out for option of unlimited french fries.

The chain says they want to compete with higher end restaurants such as Red Robin and Panera.

The company also is making changes to its menu nationwide, including improving their all day breakfast and making changes to their ingredients.

In St. Joseph, Missouri, the new McDonald’s saw hundreds of customers attend opening day, with a line seen across the parking lot. That was likely due not only to interest in the fast-food restaurant’s new look, but also the offer of unlimited french fries, company officials said.

The “McDonalds of the future” includes a dessert bar where customers can make their own sundaes. Also, hamburgers have premium options such as guacamole and pico.

Despite having automated kiosks instead of traditional cashiers the store employs more than 100 staffers, said company officials.

The company has not officially released a plan for other McDonald’s around the country to offer the same services, but is looking to expand on the success seen in St. Joseph.
