Pot grow dismantled in San Isabel National Forest

The U.S. Forest Service says authorities have destroyed an illegal marijuana grow in the San Isabel National Forest.

The agency said Thursday that over 13,000 plants were discovered east of Cuchara this week. A team of local and federal law enforcement agents removed them along with a loaded shotgun, irrigation pipe, pesticides, flammable liquids, camping gear and trash.

No one has been arrested in connection with the grow. The Forest Service is asking anyone who has information about it to contact the agency or police.
