Two men arrested in connection to two Colorado Springs incidents

The Colorado Springs Police Department says two men are facing charges in connection to two incidents that happened earlier this week.

The first incident happened at 11:30 p.m. on April 25 when police say several bullets were fired through the door of an apartment in the 5800 block of N. Nevada Avenue.

The second incident happened at 8:36 a.m. on April 26. Police were called to the 2500 block of E. Pikes Peak Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting. Investigators determined there had not been a shooting, but say they developed reason to believe that the person who reported the shooting was connected to the incident the night before.

Several people were interviewed and several search warrants were executed before police arrested Dulio Martinez, 19, and Timothy Flores, 23.

Both men face charges for attempted aggravated robbery and illegal discharge of a weapon.
