Springs police say two shootings are likely connected

UPDATE:

Police say the North Nevada shooting is likely connected to one that happened on Pikes Peak Avenue Tuesday morning.

Investigators say they have gathered enough evidence to charge Dulio Martinez, 19, and Timothy Flores, 23. They will face felony charges of aggravated attempted robbery and illegal discharge of a weapon.

Colorado Springs Police are investigating a report of shots fired at student housing in the 5800 block of North Nevada Avenue.

Investigators say that they received a call from the area late Monday evening.

At the scene, officers found evidence that several guns were fired.

Police say there is no danger to the public.

No one was hurt.
